The Landmark Hotel

Jewish Wedding

There is nothing we love more than performing a full suite of music, beginning as the first guest arrives for the ceremony, through to the last song of the evening. From traditional Israeli songs under the Chuppah to Israeli dancing, big band, Motown, Soul, R'n'B, UK Garage, and everything in-between, this was a function with something for everyone.

We began the day with our guitarist and pianist performing as the guests took their seats in The Landmark's Grand Ballroom ahead of the Chuppah (wedding ceremony). Following the conclusion of the ceremony our pianist made his way over to the library to perform on the Landmark's beautiful grand piano to accompany the drinks reception.

Next, the guests made their way into the Ballroom where the full 10 Piece band performed upbeat and interactive entrance music, creating a lively atmosphere and immediately filling the dancefloor. The Bride and Groom had chosen the fun, 90s pop classic Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit as their entrance song, as the Bride shared a similar maiden name to the artist that originally performed it, Gina G.

Of course, no Jewish wedding would be complete without an Israeli Dancing Medley -Simcha Set- and we took the roof off. As the photos show the guests, the Groom in particular, were flying everywhere!

We began the starter course with a set of relaxed classics ranging from Motown to modern chart hits, such as All of Me by John Legend. During this set we focus on delivering vocal brilliance, ensuring the volume isn't overpowering as guests are seated for their first course of the evening.

As starters concluded we had all of the guests up on the dance floor and as an extra special touch we invited one of the Bride's friends -herself a West End star- to join us on stage to perform Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' and what a fantastic and personal gift this was to the Bride and Groom. We concluded this set with a performance of the jazzy Glen Miller classic 'In The Mood' which we dedicated to him Bride's Grandfather, himself a huge Glen Miller fan, watching the two dance together was a very special moment indeed.

Following the end of the main courses we performed the British and Israeli National Anthems.

Perhaps the greatest moment of any couple's party is their first dance, where the party momentarily pauses and they can enjoy their opening dance together. And as if that wasn't special enough our white, starlit dancefloor added that extra magical finish as the stunning photo above shows. The couple chose Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect'.

There is nothing we love more than interacting with the guests, it's our trademark style after all, and we were thrilled when halfway through our UK Garage medley we discovered a budding rapper in the audience. We couldn't resist inviting Josh up on stage to spit some lyrics and Josh wasn't the last of the guest appearances. We couldn't resist encouraging the Bride and Groom, Gina & Ben, to sing to each other, creating a moment they'll never forget!

Prior to the big day we had met with Gina and Ben on several occasions to discuss their vision for their wedding, from production, to music and the schedule, we love a detailed plan. Of course central to all of the planning was developing a clear understanding of Gina and Ben's musical loves and hates. Early on in the planning process, Gina had mentioned that she and her father's favorite song was The Jackson 5's 'Blame it on the Boogie', the photo above says it all.

In addition to the band we provided full production for both the ceremony and the evening function including a white split tier stage, starlit dance floor, room uplighting, party lighting, spark machines, power distribution, sound system, and a white pinch pleat backdrop. Our in-house technical team delivered a first-class result throughout.

No epic function is complete without the big finish and by that, we mean everyone on the dance floor singing and dancing along together. Creating a celebratory atmosphere as the biggest day of the Bride and Groom's life draws to an incredible end. So to finish off we closed with an electric performance of the Beatles classic 'Hey Jude' followed by an encore of 'Don't Stop Me Now'.

Start to finish this was an incredible Simcha, full of memories and personalised moments that we had planned and developed with Gina and Ben in the run-up to their big day at London's stunning Landmark Hotel. I think the best way to sum up the entire experience is with the Google review they kindly left us the following morning!

The London function band are the perfect wedding band and you won't be disappointed in choosing them.
Grant and Nathan are an absolute delight to work with. They took our view of the wedding party and turned it into reality. They said yes to every request we had.
Above all though they kept the party going. Our guests spent the whole night on the dance floor and the atmosphere was top notch.
They also do production and this is truly spectacular. The lighting for our ceremony and party was brilliant.
You won't be disappointed, book them!!
