Asian WeddingFrom our first meeting Saranya and Anish made it clear they were huge fans of live music and whilst they appreciated current pop artists, ultimately the classic hits of the 70s to the 90s fueled their passion for live music. So we filled their wedding breakfast with the artists and genres they loved, sung by the finest vocal talent and performed in our trade mark interactive and engaging style.
And as if our 3 singers weren't enough Saranya added two surpirse vocalists to the lineup, read on to find out more!
As guests arrived into the room for the evening function we performed classic hits including Never Too Much and Best of My Love, making for a lively and fun start to the evening. In keeping with Saranya and Anish's musical tastes, such songs work perfectly across the generations, entertaining both old and young alike.
Once all of the guests had arrived it was time to create the entrance of a lifetime and play Saranya and Anish into the room. As soon as they entered they cut the cake, which we MCed.
We started in style, with a bang!
For their first dance the couple wanted a classic song, with a twist! Having settled on the Michael Jackson classic Rock With You we created a bespoke arrangement. We began with the piano and vocals only, creating an intimate acoustic sound, before bringing the full band in -including trumpet and sax- for the final verse and chorus. The uplift encouraged all of their guests to join them on the dance floor, starting the party in style.
A few songs into our first party set it was time for the first surprise of the evening, no less than the bride herself! Saranya joined us on stage to perform the Lionel Richie classic All Night Long. Accompanied by our 9 piece band, she blew everyone away!
With our 3 vocalists the guests were treated to an incredible evening of singing and dancing. Our male vocalists Paris and Nathan -as ever- spent most of their time dancing and singing with the guests on the dance floor.
Paris and Nathan were joined by our female vocalist Leanne, or as we like to call here 'the power ballad queen'. The name speaks for itself...
Not to be outdone by his Bride, Anish joined us on stage on several occasions throughout the evening, much to the delight of their guests, dancing and singing along. After all if you are going to throw the party of a lifetime for your guests, why not make the most of every minute and become the star of your own show?
As the evening progressed we continued to perform songs that the bride and groom had selected from our extensive song catalog and when we say 'perform' we really mean it. Our trademark approach involves lots of interaction with the guests on the dancefloor and not just our singers. Our trumpeter, guitarist and saxophonist too.
It was an absolute pleasure to play to such a responsive crowd. As the evening progressed their enthusiasm kept coming and the dancing never stopped. We particularly enjoyed the spontaneous dance-offs as you see above, go girls!
For the final surprise of the evening Saranya's cousin Logan joined us on stage to sing the Top Loader classic Dancing in the Moonlight. Whilst we've performed this song many times as a first dance Logan showed us that it works equally as well towards the end of the evening. With such popular lyrics, Logan had an entire dance floor of backing singers accompanying him for the chorus, what an amazing atmosphere it was!
After downsizing their guest list -due to covid- Saranya and Anish chose to move their wedding from the permanent onsite marquee at Ditton Manor to the Atrium. As this room is primarily used for corporate conferences the couple were keen to transform the space, making it suitable for a wedding reception. We relished the challenge and our team set about transforming the space.
We added a white split tier stage, white starlit dancefloor, drapery, party lighting, our custom-made DJ booth, floristry pin spotting, ceiling floodlighting, room uplighting and our first-class PA system.
It was an absolute pleasure to perform for Saranya, Anish and all of their loved ones at Ditton Manor, what a party! It's always a pleasure to have guests on stage with us, yet rare we find they have the vocal ability that Saranya and Logan did. As ever putting live music and first-class performers at the heart of their wedding, transformed that atmosphere and the function.
