Wedding

As ever it was a pleasure to be back at Hedsor and from our first meeting with bride & groom Hollie & Jon it was clear that this performance was going to be extra special. Hollie, an actress, and Jon, a technician on Harry Potter and Cursed Child, told us of their vision for a super interactive, engaging and upbeat evening of entertainment backed up by stunning event production.

From the get-go we were ready to go big!

The central hall (you see above) was used for the ceremony earlier in the day and once the guests left for the wedding breakfast we set to work transforming it, ready for the big reveal. In particular seeing Jon's reaction as he re-entered for the evening party put a smile on our faces :)

Hollie and Jon wanted to kick the night off in style. So once the last toast had been raised we burst into the ballroom singing and playing throughout the room. We had the guests litteraly dancing through to the central hall, what an electric atmosphere to start the night with.

Of course the highlight of any newly weds night on the dance floor is their first/opening dance and what an emotional and perfectly crafted routine it was. Choreographed by a colleague of Hollie's the couple stole the show with their graceful turns and lifts. Jon even designed the lighting routine, which our lighting eningeers executed in time to the music.

For an added personal touch the bride and groom were keen to involve the incredible talent amongst their guests. We jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with guest vocalists Jenny Fitzpartrick who had just finished playing Tina Turner in the West End production of Tina: The Musical and Rebecca Faulkenberry who played Al Pacino’s daughter in The Irishman on Netflix staring Robert De Niro. With Jon's background in technical theatre it was time for next level lighting, dance floor and staging! We wrapped the balcony in warm changable lighting, flooded the ceiling with moving washes - which we hid in the floristy! -, lit the front of the house and custom manufactured mirror and white glittercloth lighting stands, complete with changeable LED center trims to finish the on-stage design. Finally we covered the front of the house in vibrant light, making for a stunning first impression for the evening guests arriving down the driveway.

Ahead of the big day we worked with the couple to select songs and artists they loved to listen to and that would work with their diverse crowd, young and old. As ever we took the music right to the guests with our trade mark engaging and interactive performance style. It was an absolute pleasure working with Jon and Hollie to deliver a truly memorable party; big love to all! We can't wait to be back at Hedsor Hedsor several times this year including yet another Hedsor staff wedding.
